What is a septoplasty?

Septoplasty is the procedure which realigns the septum (the room divider between each nostril). If your septum is crooked, it will obstruct one of the airway passages and place constraints on air flow through the nose. A deviated septum can cause medical problems such as difficulty breathing and aggravated sinus issues. If you are experiencing symptoms due to septum deviation, your insurance may cover septoplasty surgery.

If you are considering nasal surgery, please contact our Pittsburgh plastic surgeon to schedule a consultation.
